What a Small Business Website Actually Needs

A clear explanation of the pages, content and technical basics that matter most when you are getting online for the first time.

A small business website does not need to be complicated. It needs to answer the questions customers already ask you and make the next step obvious.

Start with a clear homepage, a services or products page, an about page and a contact page. Add real photos, honest wording and opening hours. That is usually enough to look credible and help people get in touch.

Put the useful details first

Customers want to know what you do, where you are, when you are open and what happens next. Make those details easy to find on a phone.

Keep the maintenance realistic

Choose a setup you can update without a developer for every small change. A simple menu update or a new photo should not take a week.
