Automation

When Should You Automate Invoicing?

Automate when the repetition is predictable, the data is reliable and the time saved is visible.

Invoicing is a good automation candidate when the same steps happen every week and the information already lives in a system.

Start by mapping the current process. If the delay comes from missing job details rather than the invoice itself, fix the handover first.

Keep a human check

Automation should prepare the invoice, not hide mistakes. Add a review step for unusual jobs, discounts or new customers.

Measure the admin time

Track how long invoicing takes before and after. If the saving is not clear, simplify the process before adding more tools.
